Corsodyl dental gel is a transparent gel that contains chlorhexidine digluconate. Chlorhexidine digluconate has a bactericidal function and is active against most types of bacteria. Additionally chlorhexidine digluconate kills certain fungi. Corsodyl dental gel is used: - For the treatment of gum disease - After dental surgical procedures in order to improve healing of the gums - For the treatment of mouth ulcers and repeated infections with Candida - For the prevention of dental caries, if conventional methods are not sufficient. The simultaneous treatment of the underlying cause is necessary.
