Chlorhexidin ethanol solution is a cutaneous solution of chlorhexidine gluconate 0,5% w/v and ethanol 70% v. It is used to disinfect the skin and help prevent infections before invasive medical procedures, such as injections, insertion of catheters and minor or major surgery.
